Colleen is available for in person counselling regarding all bereavement types (including pet loss) and has many years’ experience supporting people following a death involving suicide, homicide, motor vehicle crashes, and child deaths.

$180 for a one-on-one 50-minute appointment

$250 for a 50-minute family appointment
If you obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP you may be eligible to claim back a rebate from Medicare for each session, up to 10 sessions in a calendar year.

Colleen
Colleen Fitzpatrick is a Master's qualified Counsellor and
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
With over twenty years of experience, Colleen has worked with people of all ages on what is often described as their worst day, after an unnatural death is referred to the NSW Coroner. She supports people facing the isolating and debilitating impacts of trauma, loss, and grief.
Throughout her career, Colleen has specialised in providing evidence-based counselling and support to people experiencing traumatic loss. Her unique practice experience enables her to build trusting therapeutic relationships with individuals and families.
Colleen is a trained child and family bereavement counsellor and a volunteer for the internationally recognised children’s bereavement program, Feel the Magic.
Colleen is also an experienced supervisor and is available for clinical supervision.

Colleen approaches her work with warmth and care helping people to explore their grief, gain clarity and regain a sense of agency and hope in their lives after loss.
Colleen adopts a holistic approach to bereavement, collaborating with people to understand the biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural impacts of grief. She is trained and experienced in a variety of evidence-based frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT),
Mindfulness, Psychoeducation, relaxation strategies and skills training.
Her practice is empathic and grounded in proven therapeutic approaches. Her personalised and holistic framework allows her to meet the unique needs of each person, accompanying them as they gently explore their grief and navigate life and loss.
